We Saw, We Hiked, We Captured. Brandon + Kamille

This wasn’t a typical engagement session. It was difficult in 106 degree weather. Feeling as if each step up Enchanted Rock, grew longer throughout the climb. Each outfit change in the Texas heat, left this sweet couple in some sweat. Many water breaks happened, in order to stay well dehydrated. We kept telling ourselves one step at a time… but then, there was a moment, a beautiful moment, one with no more ground to hike.

There was a pause as we stopped in time, when we finally made it to the top of this beautiful rocky mountain!!! It was such a inspiring experience. Brandon by Kamille the whole way, never left her side even when the hike was hard. Kamille as if to catch her breath, once making it to the top said…

“It was worth it!”

The sessions that we have to work towards, always end up being my FAVORITE. Going through a tough hike that you’re unprepared for physically, can be a challenge. When it’s all said and done, these moments are so rewarding because couples are able to lean on one another for support.

Marriage is all about leaning on one another, through the up’s and down’s, the best times but also, the challenging ones. Finally making it to the top, you’re able to see God’s beautiful creation. A session like this is so rewarding to me as a photographer, because in a slight way, it can play as a bigger picture of how life can be, if you really stop and think about it. I am so thankful for couples I’m able to serve in this unique way. I love amazing views but I love even more, couples who trust me with these types of sessions because in the end, It’s worth it!
