We all know there is SO much that goes into picking the dream team you’ll have make your day possible!! This can either make or break your vision. Why I say dream team? Well, in this blog post I will walk you through ALL about it good and bad! Things you should look out for when hiring vendors and also things that are golden from vendors who will truly make that dream team become a reality!!
Let first talk about 10 vendors who play a HUGE part in that dream team!!!
Each of these vendors are people who can make a big difference in your day, IF they are 100% for serving YOU. If they have their own agendas or to use your wedding just as a self promotion… then odds are, you will have a harder time working and paying someone who isn’t 100% for you. That leads me into the first thing to look for when hiring any vendors for your special day!!
It’s pretty easy to tell apart the vendors/people who talk about themselves rather than congratulation you and making it all about YOU! This is the biggest indicator that those aren’t the vendors you want to go with.. even if their work is pretty. It’s one thing to have pretty work but if they mainly have their agenda in mind and don’t listen to your wants or your visions then you’ll have a stressful time working with them.
Find vendors for your dream team who keeps everything upfront and explain things easily rather then you having to ask all the questions! Dream vendors answer your questions before you even think to ask, they beat you to it! Chances are this is your FIRST wedding and you’ve never done this before. It’s no surprise that vendors do weddings ALL the time! Some vendors might assume you know how they run their business. Nope, haha it doesn’t work like that! ALL vendors need to explain their process from start to finish to keep everything on the same page for you! The last thing you want to happen, is to be caught off guard by a fee you didn’t know about or be let down by their process/not being together… which can happen often! Vendors who explain everything truly care about giving YOU the best experience possible!
Do your research and find someone who you can connect with outside of just the pretty look. You want to find someone who truly cares about YOU through this whole process and puts your wants over their own agenda. If you don’t care much for the individual, but like their work.. trust me when I say, that will be an off set and NOT a good match for you or the vendor. If you can find a connection point or feel something great about a vendor you’re hiring this is PERFECT!
Find the vendors style that you LOVE! This is where your visions can breath life!! Some brides know this automatically since they’ve been dreaming of this day for forever. For others, not every bride knows what style she likes just yet… which is where a stylist planner comes in GREAT handy! Finding a vendor or choosing a stylist who can help you narrow down the “look” that matches what you have in mind is BIG when making your vision an actual reality.
This is helpful to know when looking for vendors!! Do they have reviews that are more saying “great to work with, it was beautiful.” or are their reviews from their clients more personal outside of just the work. More like “I couldn’t have done my day without them.” or “they really cared about us through the whole process…” Those are the vendors you want to find! You want the dream team who are going to go above and beyond serving you because they care about you!! Good reviews are great but the reviews you should look for are the ones that talk more than just the pretty work.
