Meeting in Geography as a freshman in High school, you might not think much would come from it, but for Derrick and Courtney, it goes back that far. Sitting only desks apart, that’s where it all began, during the movies in class, derrick found the moment to typically mess with Courtney’s hair just so he could strike a conversation. Now 7 years of dating and being best friends is only the beginning of their story. As many are, Courtney is crazy about Disney which was the perfect plan, Derrick decided that is where he would pop the BIG question. Fighting against the large crowd at Magic Kingdom to get in front was a norm for disney which wasn’t a surprise to Courtney, until she saw it… Derrick down on one knee in front of the castle. Not even knowing how to contain her excitement and shaking hands, Courtney through tears nodded her head YES as Derrick slipped the diamond ring on her ring finger.
I had such a great time photographing their engagement. It is easy to see these two are in love through their laughter during the shoot and in that spark in their eyes for each other with I LOVE seeing! See their love unfold in the images from their session below, enjoy!
