The dark rain clouds rolled through on this cold, wintery November Sunday. As I walked through the doors at the Wildflower venue, I made my way to the bridal suit. There the smiles of Abby and her beautiful bridesmaids, her mother (Amy) and her soon to be Mother In Law (Krista) where enjoying getting ready and sharing this moment all together. As any women getting ready normally goes, you could easily smell the hair spray as it filed the room, then over to my left there the soon to me MRS Lake sat, with that glow on her face. She is about to say “I Do” to her best friend who is only a few rooms way! This feeling comes with all kinds of beautiful emotions! If you’re married, remember back to that time as you got ready and what you where feeling in those hours before. That is exactly what I saw in Abby’s glowing face, as her hair stylist curled each strand of her hair. Once the Groom and Groomsmen photos started, Travis has a way of making everyone laugh who’s around him… even if it was bitterly cold, wet and 40 degree day the Guys made the best of portrait time all while goofing off as the guys tend to do 😉
I was so honored to be able to capture Abby and Travis’s special day! They are an amazing couple and both have wonderful families who I saw throughout the day serve these two selflessly! It’s so unique to see families who are ready to do everything they can to make a day like this unforgettable. Their love and support for Abby and Travis truly shined bright and also was a perfect reminder to me for how great it is to stop for a moment and be thankful for family!
I hope you don’t stop here because their wedding day unfolds throughout the images below! Thanks again Travis + Abby for trusting me with capturing your Engagement shoot and most importantly your wedding day! Enjoy!
